IF YOU ARE TRAVELLING TO THE USA VISA APPLICATION IS MANDATORY

IMPORTANT, travellers to/via the USA (even on a connecting flight) It is now a requirement by the Department of Homeland Security for all passengers travelling to the USA to apply for a Travel Authorization Number at least three days prior to scheduled departure from Australia. This approval number will be valid for two years from date of application. BYOjet will not be held liable for any costs or cancellation penalties or inconvenience where travellers do not have a travel authorisation and are not permitted to travel.
Some countries such as China, Brazil, Russia and others require passengers to obtain a visa prior to travel, even if you are only in
transit. Please check with the Embassy directly or to assist you, both in determining whether you require a visa and the processing of your
application online go to http://www.mfat.govt.nz/Embassies/2-Foreign-representatives-to-NZ/Diplomatic-and-Consular-List.php . Non New Zealand Passport holders may be subject to stricter visa restrictions and should always check with the embassy. Some flights may make a technical stop which are not listed on your flight itinerary and a visa for this country may be required by non-New Zealand Passport holders. Please check www.checkmytrip.com BYOjet will not be liable for any denied boarding due to no visa.
ONE-WAY TICKETS; for passengers travelling on one-way tickets, some countries will not allow you to enter without proof of a return or onward electronic ticket. If you book a one-way ticket please ensure you have checked with the Consulate of the country you are travelling to in order to ensure that you comply with their laws and regulations.
MISSED FLIGHTS; BYOjet will not be responsible for any loss as a result of a missed flight, arriving at the incorrect airport or terminal, as a result of an airline schedule change or denied boarding for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to arriving late, not having the required visas or under the influence of alcohol. It is your responsibility to confirm the flight for any schedule change and be at the airport by check-in time and to have the correct visas required.
Please confirm your flights at least 24 hours before departure in case of any delay or airline schedule change, which is quiet
common. You can check at www.checkmytrip.com (except low cost carriers) or with the airline directly.
CODE SHARE flights; A 4 digit flight number is usually a code share flight. It is common practice for airlines to codeshare, i.e. where a
different carrier other than the carrier who issued the ticket operates a fight. It is your responsibility to check and arrive at the correct
terminal in time. If in doubt or unsure please call our office or check online at www.checkmytrip.com use the top reference
number provided on this itinerary. Code share flights may have different check-in counters or terminals. Please allow sufficient airport time in case you need to change terminals.
Low cost carriers like EasyJet, Ryanair and many more do not include any free checked luggage. If you did not purchase checked luggage at time of booking you can e-mail us to add this for you or add it yourself on the airline' website. This will be much cheaper than at the airport. The reference number for these airlines is next to each flight.
ONLINE CHECK-IN; Some carriers offer online check-in up to several weeks before your flight however most either 24-48 hours. Some carriers will charge you a fee for airport check-in, Ryan Air charge 80 Euro for airport check–in. Check if online check- in is offered and where there is a charge for airport check-in. This can be done on our website or the airlines website. To assist you we have direct links and instructions on our website just click the “online check-in"
PASSPORTS -ALWAYS REQUIRED WHEN YOU FLY on International flights for ALL passengers including children. Please ensure your passport does not expire within 6 months from your return date or you may be denied boarding.
CREDIT CARD or PAYPAL; if for any reason any travel service provider, including airlines, do not provide the services and/or flights which you have booked and paid for, including but not limited to the grounding or insolvency of the airline or travel provider, the liability is against that provider, and not against BYOjet. If payment for the service was made to BYOjet by credit card, by accepting these booking conditions you agree that you will not seek to charge back your credit card payment to BYOjet. In the event you do charge back to your credit card, for any reason where we had to pay an Airline or travel provider on your behalf and we have suffered a loss as a result of this chargeback. we will attempt to recover this debt from you by handing this over to a debt collection agency and/or lawyer for collection. (Company policy is to hand every charge back over to our lawyers for collection irrespective of the amount) You will also be liable for an administration fee of $180 plus any legal or collection cost. You agree to us obtaining and/or providing your credit information to/from any credit reporting agency.

CHECK-IN TIMES; you should be at the airport at least two hours prior to your flight.
TO MAKE CHANGES TO OR TO CANCEL YOUR BOOKING; for any problems while travelling please, e-mail or use our Online chat. Or call us on the numbers below. please quote your BYO reference number. LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE; this is usually stated on your confirmation but not guaranteed. You are advised to check directly with the airline as luggage allowances change without notice or check on www.checkmytrip.com
AIRLINE SCHEDULE CHANGES; airlines sometimes change or cancel flights. We have no control and accept no liability for any
changed, delayed or cancelled flight. If we are advised of a schedule change we will e-mail you with that change. If you are not
happy with the alternative offered by the airline, we will try to change this with the airline for you or you can call the airline directly
to discuss this. If the change is shortly before your flight, the airline will contact you directly on the contact number provided at
time of booking. We cannot be held liable for any schedule change of flight cancellation for any reason. You are strongly advised
to check flights 24 hours before on www.checkmytrip.com using the reference number provided or direct with the airline or
airport. If for any reason you are not able to board the flight you are booked on due to a booking error by Byojet staff, we will attempt to get you on the first available flight to the same destination or city, on the same class and fare at our cost; this may be at different time, day and/or airline or routing. In all situations our maximum liability to you will be a refund of the actual fare paid for this flight. We will not accept liability for any expenses or losses as a result of this delay or re-routing. If the reason is an Airline or computer error or any other reason other than by a booking error made by a staff member of Byojet, we will assist you to resolve this but not be liable to you for any compensation. You may be able to claim compensation from the airline and if so we will assist you to do this.
All changes including but not limited to: Flight, Date, Itinerary, Passenger name change or Cancelation, before ticketing will incur a Maximum $55 fee per booking. After ticketing, a maximum $140 per passenger may apply plus any airline fees or fare difference. All changes should be requested online using the Change My booking option on the main page, no change or charge will be made to you until you confirm the change by replying to our e-mail.
JURISDICTION; By accepting these conditions, you agree to be bound by and submit to the jurisdiction of New Zealand Law Courts, Tribunals and Alternate Dispute resolution Forum and the laws of those applicable particularly in the region of Canterbury as the appropriate place for any action or disagreement arising between us to be commenced, determined and made the subject of recovery action at first instance; and thereafter wherever you may live.
